Enhancing Massage with Reiki
Tasa Johnson is the resident/teacher Massage Therapists at Reiki Mountain Center and has developed a technique in incorporating Reiki into her Practice. A Licensed Massage Therapist with a Masters in Usui and Karuna Reiki from RMC, was born in New Orleans, La. Tasa has always been interested in healing and began seeking knowledge of her Native American roots in 1994 and studied for several years with Native American Healers. In 1999, she was introduced to Reiki and became a Reiki Usui Master in 2006. When she first started utilizing Reiki in her practice, she became consciously aware through the comments of her clients, that her hands were becoming very warm, especially following the drawing of the Reiki Symbols on the palms of her hands.
The following observations and experiences for her and her clients are detailed by Tasa in relation to using Reiki in her Massage practice:
"I know that Reiki flows through me all the time, but sometimes I forget this, so when I do tune into Reiki, I become more aware of this energy flowing through me. It allows me to approach my client with a greater sense of calm and confidence. I become connected to a source of energy that is greater than myself and endless. I become more confident and at the same time humbled, easily setting aside my ego, being consciously connected, less tired and not feeling "drained."
I believe the client picks up on this approach on a subconscious level and helps them relax faster than before Reiki. My clients often comment that my massage is different than any massage they have ever experienced, when they try to express the difference, they generally are unable to find the right words. My belief, is that, they are feeling the gentle healing flow of Reiki.
When I am using Reiki in my massage, my approach is more gentle, that does not mean less pressure, or a softer massage, but instead of trying to "conquer" the pain in the muscle, I am asking, or, giving it permission to leave the client.
I truly enjoy the deeper technique, NMT, tender/trigger point releases, the faster those releases take place, the better it is for my client and less chance of tissue damage. When I am "holding a point, if I consciously send Reiki, the point releases almost instantly, much easier on the client and so much easier on my own muscles.
Note: Tasa has developed a Reiki/Massage technique that she teaches whenever we have massage/bodyworkers attending our classes for Ceu's. For futher information go to our website at: htpp://www.reikimountainhigh.com and click on Massage Therapy.

Psychometry - (Intuition)
This program is one of fun and fellowship. It’s purpose is to facilitate the awakening and nurturing of intuitive awareness through psychometry exercises.
We are born with intuition and use it daily on a mostly unaware basis. It’s a part of how humans and animals have survived throughout millennium.
The term “PSYCHOMETRY” is from the Greek words “psyche” meaning soul and “metron” meaning measure. Everyone and everything that exists has an electromagnetic frequency, also known as Auras. Psychometry is the process whereby feelings or impressions about a person or thing are received through the sense of touch while connecting your own frequencies with those of the object or person in question.
We will be practicing Psychometry exercises using objects, pictures, personal items, sealed envelopes, etc..

Reiki Mountain Center
Reiki Mountain Center is taking a new approach to Reiki and other modalities. WE have participated in a nationwide study on the effects of Reiki on Free Radicals.
A four month study on the effects of Reiki on the electromagnetic field was conducted in Murphy NC, by DR. Barbara Haydon and Reiki Master Paul Donovan using the GDV-BEO diagnostic device. The electro magnetic field was the sole testing that was completed in 102 participants. 65 were in the study with 37 in the sample group. Results and procedure will be posted later.
We have also integrated the Enneagram and Reiki in an on-going study.
We have devised a program for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers that has been approved by the NCBMTB and offer Ceu's in all levels of Reiki
One of the most frustrating problems with Spiritual Healing, is that, the students absorb and receive awakenings while in class and for a time after, going back into the same enviroment for many eventually may deplete their excitement and/or enthusiasm. We offer a course in Feng Shui to assist in creating an on-going peaceful atmosphere at home and in the work place in conjunction with Reiki.
We are also experimenting with physcometry (intuition) and its uses with Reiki.
For more information on our Center, please go to www.reikimountainhigh.com
Hoping to hear from you soon,
Paul Donovan - Reiki Master/Teacher
